The huge and long awaited marriage of long-time NSAAer Mark S and his bride, Jill G came off in Eureka, California on Saturday afternoon/evening, August 6th, 2016. And what an affair it was. Somewhere close to 100 guests packed the grounds of the Lost Whale Inn in Trinidad, California for almost 8 hours of madcap merriment under clear skies and perfect temperatures. Hosted by Jill's parents, Jerry and Lorraine Grady, this party could not have been nicer. Great food, an open bar, and dancing with a DJ, in a spot perched high above the blue Pacific, all made for a boffo event. (Dear Lord, did I mention those custard filled eclairs?) In addition, as a very fortunate sidebar, the NSAA enjoyed a "whale" of a reunion.

See Mark's half of the wedding party turned out to be his junior high school buddies whom he brought out to play NSAA ball back in the 90s. These guys were dubbed "The Goon Squad" then, a name which somehow affectionately stuck. As did their love for softball, as four of them (Jojo, Mark, Tommy and Hawk) are still playing slow pitch up in Arcata, CA today. A group of us made their double header on Thursday night prior to the wedding. Pictured in the stands below are (L to R) Andy, Joey, Jill, Jane and Colleen. In the "Goon" shot, after the game, we have (L to R) Hawk, John K, Mark, Tommy, Commish and Joey with Jojo and a couple of pooch-pups down below.

Next up the baseball cards of all the NSAA guests from the 1986 Topps collection.
