From the beginning in 1960 all the way thru 1968 we had no newsletter. Then, after witnessing nine years of increasing interest, the league looked like it might have legs for another nine. So the first letter was put out in September of '69 mainly to stir the pot and remind the guys to keep on showing up. Soon the thing morphed into a twice yearly publication, one in the spring to announce the softball and report on last season's football and then in the fall with the opposite purpose. As the years rolled by, what started out as a one-pager done on a terrible copier transformed into about 6 pages or sometimes more, that looked pretty professional. I had alot of fun with the thing right up until I tried to keep on going with it after I retired. It didn't take long to realize the folly of putting out a newsletter written by a guy who WASN'T there to be read by guys who WERE there. The last one (#68) rolled off of Chuck's color copier at Warner Bros. in 2007. Below we display the first one, the last one.
